Ballerina

Set within the John Wick universe, Ballerina follows an assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma who sets out on a path of revenge following the death of her father. Territory Studio designed narrative and visual elements integrating seamlessly into the film's story and tone — including slap comms, tattoo designs, and VFX across key moments.

Territory extended the dark aesthetic of the John Wick universe with bespoke UI for analogue phone operator Muriel — a monochrome green phosphor-style display with ASCII-based interface deliberately difficult to trace — and slick modern smartphone screens for High Table members showing financial transfer notifications, blending old-world clandestine operations with modern global finance.

For Eve's tattoo, Territory developed the Art Department's angel design with different wing options, balanced with the Latin phrase "Lux la tenebris" (light in darkness), reflecting Eve's journey from shadow toward redemption.

Additional work included: a bespoke poster for Andrei Tarkovsky's Andrei Rublev adorning the exterior of the Ruska Roma's secret assassination academy; flyer artwork for the Minus-11 icy nightclub evoking a cyber futurist aesthetic; and explorations of X-ray entry technology (LAR, LiDAR, heat sensing) for the same location.
