Territory Studio came on board in pre-production to concept, design and animate screen graphic content for this contemporary counter-terrorism thriller — delivering over 200 final screens across 22 sets.
Working closely with Production Designer Andrew Laws from a script breakdown, Territory mapped how technology interfaces could best support story, performance and action. Sets ranged from giant wall screens to smartphones, laptops to desktop monitors, helicopter displays and Destroyer navigation and weapons systems. Informed by research into real military surveillance technology, Territory developed distinct visual languages for each set, context and device — from CIA control rooms to terrorist messages, satellite images to tracking systems.
The CIA control room was the most complex set, featuring an 11-metre wall screen and around 130 screens requiring specific story-pegged content. An embedded team on set accommodated the director's requests for real-time amends. Bespoke content was created for each set including Black Hawk multifunction displays, Navy Destroyer monitors, CIA desktop and wall monitors.
Territory worked on the film for 4 months on set and continued into post production, delivering graphics to support edit changes through to the last day of VFX.
