Citadel

Territory Studio created bespoke UI and VFX graphics for Citadel, the Russo Brothers' Amazon spy thriller set in a near-future world of political intrigue and clandestine operations. The studio designed and composited graphics for multiple key environments across the series.

The situation room serves as the technical epicentre of the Citadel organisation, with spherical screen content displayed on transparent glass panels. Compositors precisely integrated graphics behind the silhouettes of the cast, while background monitor interfaces were kept purposefully restrained to avoid competing with the hero storytelling graphics on the glass.

During a mountainside escape sequence, vibrant holographic displays monitored medical vitals in real time, with animation elements precisely synchronised to actor interactions as life-saving guidance was relayed across treacherous terrain.

A tabletop display in the interrogation room required interface text to be rotated along the margins so it remained legible to characters seated on both sides. Territory also conceived an arsenal of gadgets — GPS dashboards, futuristic clear glass desktop monitors, parachute tracking interfaces, and the X-Case database — all designed to convey a global-reach intelligence system with detailed records on all agents and their whereabouts.
